RS-A01 Pro-T Urban Electric Bicycle

The bike was delivered in double quick time, next day after purchase. On unpacking the box I noticed the wheels looked on the small side and on checking they were 26 inch wheels. I bought the bike on the pretext of the spec stating the wheels were 27.5 inch. Complained to Samebike about it and was offered a small refund on the purchase.

Easy to follow instructions and the bike comes 90% complete so didn't take long to finish the build. The spec of the bike also stated the frame size is compatable for riders up to 6 foot 5 inches tall but I am 6 foot and I felt cramped for room. On my first outing, my left knee was catching the horn and my heel got caught on the bike stand. The bike is heavy too and it didn't feel like the brakes were sufficient to pull up in the expected distance. The discs are probably warped too as I get a front wheel wobble on when applying the brakes. The power assist works well on a slight gradient but where I live, the uphill roads are quite steep and a fair bit of effort has to be put in as well as the power assist maxed out on PAS 5 and highest gear.

Poor return on a fully charged battery too and averaged only 14 mile each on 2 fully charged batteries. 7 hours to re-charge the flat battery yesterday. Because the area where I reside has steep inclines, I just leave the PAS set at 5 and this seems to drain the battery quickly. The throttle is also placed at the side of the gear selector so momentum is lost when cycling up hill and the thumb is taken off the throttle to change down in gears. Throttle could probably be resited on the left hand side of the handle bars to give a more seamless ride.

The plus side was the integrated front and rear lights which has the bonus of a brake light. The horn came in useful too for warning overtaking cars that get too close.

First day I received it, I charged it fully then took it for a test ride. Very nice bike ride. It went further than I thought with a mix of throttle and pedal assist for almost 20 miles with 2 bars left. Id recommend it to anyone wanting a nice electric bike for bike rides 20 miles or less.

The build quality is solid, and the ride is smooth and comfortable. The 500W peak motor provides plenty of power, making hills and longer rides effortless. The pedal-assist feature is great, and with the 36V battery, I can easily get up to 40 miles on a single charge.

So it's really sleek looking and customer support was amazing. Just a fair warning if you're not handy you might need to take it to the bike shop for assembly. After putting the front wheel on I had to adjust both front and rear disc breaks. But I am 6'3 and 243 lbs and this bike fits me great! I got 20 miles on pedal assist 4 going around 16mph. It performs great as a commuter.
